PLUMRIDGE • INTEGRATION ROADMAPS
Forest Technical Roadmap
A complete technical route from the Forest motor specification to Lutron control, with dry-contact wiring, serial bus diagrams and the full command reference.
The integration roadmap
Confirm load, span, draw, bends, stacking and motor revision.
The integrator selects the supported interface and documents the command schedule.
Prove direction, stop behavior, limits and recovery using the intended controller.
Retain approved wiring, timings, addresses where applicable, and the final load and track specification.
Motor control routes
| Route | What it delivers |
|---|---|
| Dry contacts | Direction and stop commands. The contacts themselves do not return position feedback. |
| RS485 | Addressed commands and position queries through a compatible controller / gateway. |
| RF / Wi-Fi / bridge | Alternative routes in the Forest roadmap; verify actual product revision and project support. |

Wiring and motor-specific stop behavior
| Forest S/L/M signal | Connector pins |
|---|---|
| Open | 1 to 3 common |
| Close | 8 to 3 common |
| Stop | 1 and 8 simultaneously to 3 common |
Forest Shuttle S/L/M stops by closing both direction contacts to common simultaneously. Use the source connector orientation and prove the exact timing on the sample. Motor power is separate from dry-contact signaling.

RS485 wiring and command reference
The supplied serial sheet names S/L/M receivers 5232000000, 5232000001 and 5232000003. Pin 2 is RS485b, pin 3 GND and pin 5 RS485a. The sheet specifies 9600 baud, 8N1 and case-sensitive commands, with unique three-character addresses.

All command rows, scene operations, position / version queries, addressing and reset references are included in the PDF. Source inconsistencies in scene values, address examples and reset prefixes are flagged for manufacturer confirmation before programming.

| Source set | PDF pages |
|---|---|
| Forest specifications and control roadmap | 9–10 |
| Dry-contact ports and wiring | 11 |
| RS485 bus, commands and resets | 12–14 |
| QSE-IO: terminals, mounting, wiring and DIP modes | 15–24 |
| Wireless dry-contact reference | 25–31 |
QSE-IO and the supplied legacy RadioRA 2 visor controller are separate interface references. Compatibility, output ratings and programming must be confirmed for the actual Lutron system. RF alternatives do not establish native Lutron compatibility.
