Ask a questionCan you make covers for furniture whose original cushions are discontinued?
We can review custom replacements from your dimensions, photos and, where appropriate, an old cover or template. Shape, construction and the condition of the existing filling determine the best approach.
Can I replace only the cushion covers?
Yes, if your inserts are in suitable condition and the covers can be patterned accurately. Covers alone will not correct flattened, damaged or poorly fitting filling; we’ll help assess that before quoting.
Can I mail an old cushion cover as a pattern?
Contact us first so we can identify which pieces we need and provide mailing instructions. Old covers may have stretched or shrunk, so we also review measurements and fit on the furniture.
How do I measure my cushions?
For a boxed rectangular cushion, note finished width, front-to-back depth and thickness. Record back cushions separately. Add photos of seams, piping, zipper openings, ties and any shaped corners. Curved or unusual pieces may need a template.
Can you reproduce double piping and zippers?
We can review those details for your replacement. Piping at the top and bottom, zipper type and length, ties and contrast trim are specified separately so the quote reflects the actual construction.
Are Sunbrella cushions waterproof?
Standard Sunbrella upholstery fabrics are water resistant, rather than fully waterproof. Fabric, filling, seams and exposure all affect a finished cushion. Tell us whether the cushions stay outside in rain so we can review suitable materials and care.
Do protective furniture covers use the same fabric as cushions?
Not necessarily. A protective cover needs materials and construction suited to its purpose. We review water protection, seams, ventilation, secure fit and exposure separately from cushion upholstery. Explore custom furniture covers.
Can you make cushions for chairs, sofas, benches and chaises?
We can review all of these, including repeated sets and unusual shapes. Send dimensions and photos so we can confirm the construction and whether a template is needed.
Why is shipping quoted separately?
Filled cushions can be light but bulky, and shipping may be based on packed volume. Covers and complete cushions can have very different delivery costs. We confirm packing dimensions and destination before adding shipping to the final quote.
Can I get an estimate before sending samples?
We can review an initial estimate from dimensions, quantities, fabric choice and photos before you mail any samples. Final pricing depends on confirmed materials, fit and construction. Physical samples may be needed for a firm quote.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Contact us with the fabric details first. We need to check suitability, usable width, pattern repeat, condition and the amount required before confirming whether it can be used.
Can you coordinate my cushions with drapery, shades and hardware?
Yes. Share photos or your design plans and we can discuss the room and outdoor space together, including fabrics, window treatments and hardware.
How long will my project take?
We confirm timing with your quote after reviewing fabric availability, pattern-making, construction and our production schedule.
