CS Contract Drapery Track

Choose black or white, wall or ceiling mounting, and the carriers and draw options for your drapery.

A rust-resistant track for coastal homes and hospitality

Clean lines, smooth movement and a coordinated finish. CS Contract combines a powder-coated aluminum rail with quietly traversing carriers for oceanfront interiors, island residences and humid rooms. Choose black or white components for a consistent appearance across the rail, brackets and carriers.

The slim track can be wall or ceiling mounted, offering a discreet alternative to a decorative rod. We help match the drapery load, support spacing and mounting components to your project. For coastal locations, the complete installation matters: specify appropriate fasteners and tell us about any outdoor or direct salt-spray exposure.

    Frequently asked questions

Is CS Contract Drapery Track suitable for coastal and humid locations?

Yes. The aluminum profile and coordinated track components are intended for rust-resistant applications. Final suitability also depends on the mounting surface, anchors, fasteners, salt exposure, fabric weight and maintenance.

What does the 6 lb/ft capacity mean?

The CS Contract Drapery Track has a maximum published capacity of up to 6 pounds of total drapery weight for each foot of properly supported track. For example, a 6-foot track has a theoretical maximum distributed load of up to 36 pounds. This is not a promise that every installation will carry that amount: the actual safe capacity can be reduced by bracket spacing, ceiling or wall structure, anchors, curves, splices, projection, concentrated loads and frequent operation. We recommend weighing the completed drapery and using Design Consultation for heavy or unusual systems.

Can CS Contract Drapery Track be wall or ceiling mounted?

Yes. Use the mounting selector above to choose the compatible wall or ceiling brackets and confirm adequate structure for the complete drapery load. The customer or installer supplies anchors suited to the actual wall or ceiling.

Can CS Contract Drapery Track be mounted directly to the ceiling without brackets?

Yes. The easiest installation uses the standard ceiling brackets, but CS Contract Drapery Track can also be mounted directly to a suitable ceiling. Drill mounting holes through the rail slot approximately 28 to 36 inches apart, appropriate to the load and substrate, then fasten upward with correctly sized #6 pan-head screws. Do not use ordinary large-head screws: an oversized head can project into the carrier channel and obstruct the carriers or master carriers. Confirm the ceiling structure and use anchors suitable for the actual substrate. The customer or installer supplies the ceiling anchors.

Should wall mount and ceiling mount be separate products?

No. They are mounting options for the same CS Contract Drapery Track, so keeping them together avoids duplicate information and makes finish, measurements and pricing easier to compare. Your selection will specify the correct brackets in the final configuration and bill of materials.

    Which drapery headings work?

CS Contract Drapery Track works with hooked pleated headings and compatible Ripplefold. Ripplefold requires connected carriers and snap spacing matched to the selected fullness.

Which Ripplefold fullness can I order?

Compatible carrier spacing is available for 60%, 80% and 100% Ripplefold. Eighty percent is a common balanced choice; greater fullness creates deeper waves and uses more fabric and stacking space.

How should the track color be coordinated?

Black CS Contract Drapery Track is supplied with black carriers, while white CS Contract Drapery Track uses white carriers. Screen colors are approximate; request a physical sample when an exact match is important.

How are brackets or direct-mount screws spaced?

For direct-to-ceiling mounting, drill and fasten through the rail slot approximately 28 to 36 inches apart using correctly sized #6 pan-head screws. Bracket spacing depends on track length, drapery weight, mounting surface and any splice or curve. Distribute supports evenly to the approved plan and add support beside a splice. Heavy, curved or unusual systems require review.

Can CS Contract Drapery Track be curved?

Selected configurations can be curved to an approved radius or accurate template. Curves need compatible components; do not assume every straight-system carrier or master is suitable.

Can I download the installation guide?

Yes. Use the installation-guide button below. Confirm the substrate and anchors before drilling.

    Coastal hardware frequently asked questions

Why choose an aluminum drapery track for a coastal interior?

The powder-coated aluminum rail is corrosion-resistant and provides a discreet alternative to an ordinary steel rail in humid coastal interiors. Final suitability also depends on the finish, brackets, fasteners and actual exposure. We review the complete system for your project.

    Is rust-proof hardware completely maintenance-free?

Rust-proof describes the corrosion-resistant materials selected for these systems. Salt deposits can still affect finishes and exposed components. Routine care and correctly specified brackets and fasteners help keep the complete installation looking its best.

Can I use this hardware outdoors or close to the ocean?

Tell us whether the installation is indoors, sheltered outdoors or exposed to sea spray. We review the finish, mounting surface, fasteners, drapery weight and exposure before recommending the complete system. An oceanfront interior and a fully exposed terrace need different consideration.

What information should I send for a coastal project?

Send your location, photographs, window measurements, wall or ceiling construction, drapery heading and approximate fabric weight. Include any outdoor exposure, curves or long spans so we can recommend the hardware and installation details together.

How should I care for a coastal drapery track?

Keep the track free of dust and inspect exposed brackets and fasteners as part of routine care. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the finished rail, carriers and operating parts. Ask us before applying cleaners or additional lubricant to the carrier channel.
