CS Recess Contract System
A white drapery track integrated into a planned ceiling recess, with hand or baton operation.
Discreet coastal hardware, integrated into the ceiling
A clean architectural finish for oceanfront interiors. CS Recess uses a white powder-coated aluminum track installed in a planned ceiling pocket. The recessed rail keeps attention on the drapery and view, making it an attractive option for island homes, coastal residences and hospitality interiors.
Choose hand draw or baton draw and plan the ceiling recess from the profile below. We help review the drapery load, ceiling construction, mounting fasteners and exposure so the complete system suits the room. Include your location and any salt-air exposure when requesting a consultation.

Frequently asked questions
How is CS Recess installed?
Read the installation instructions and check that the track and hardware are complete. Prepare a level ceiling recess to the approved profile dimensions. The sketch shows a ⅞″ upper width, 1¼″ width across the lower flanges, and 1″ overall height; the right-side dimension is ⅞″ above the lower flanges. Confirm the actual track and finished opening with your installer before cutting the ceiling.
Hold the track securely in position and fasten it through the factory-drilled holes, approximately every 10″. The separate upper channel keeps screw heads clear of the carriers. This recessed system is fastened through the track; it does not use separate wall or ceiling surface brackets. M3 × 25 mm screws are recommended for wood; choose fasteners suitable for the actual ceiling structure. Slide the masters and carriers into the track, fit the end caps, and add twist-on end stops where needed.
Open the complete CS Recess installation sheet and profile drawings.

How much weight can CS Recess carry, and how much space will the drapery stack use?
The track is rated for a maximum drapery weight of 6 lb per foot. Allow approximately 6″ of stackback per fabric width for Ripplefold or 7″ per fabric width for Pinch Pleat. Actual stack depends on the finished drapery and carrier arrangement.
Can this track mount on a wall?
This track is designed for a ceiling recess. Choose a wall-mounted CS track for wall installation.
Can I operate the drapery with a baton?
Yes. Choose Baton Draw and the intended baton length above.
What should my installer check?
Confirm the ceiling construction, recess opening, track alignment, support, access for installation, and finish sequence against the final approved profile dimensions.
Can CS Recess be bent or reverse bent?
Yes. CS Recess can be bent and reverse bent using an 8″ radius. An actual size template is required. The application drawing labels a minimum 21.5″ between the two bends in the illustrated reverse-bend example. Send your actual size template and measured layout for curved work.

Coastal hardware frequently asked questions
Why choose an aluminum drapery track for a coastal interior?
The powder-coated aluminum rail is corrosion-resistant and provides a discreet alternative to an ordinary steel rail in humid coastal interiors. Final suitability also depends on the finish, brackets, fasteners and actual exposure. We review the complete system for your project.
Is rust-proof hardware completely maintenance-free?
Rust-proof describes the corrosion-resistant materials selected for these systems. Salt deposits can still affect finishes and exposed components. Routine care and correctly specified brackets and fasteners help keep the complete installation looking its best.
Can I use this hardware outdoors or close to the ocean?
Tell us whether the installation is indoors, sheltered outdoors or exposed to sea spray. We review the finish, mounting surface, fasteners, drapery weight and exposure before recommending the complete system. An oceanfront interior and a fully exposed terrace need different consideration.
What information should I send for a coastal project?
Send your location, photographs, window measurements, wall or ceiling construction, drapery heading and approximate fabric weight. Include any outdoor exposure, curves or long spans so we can recommend the hardware and installation details together.
How should I care for a coastal drapery track?
Keep the track free of dust and inspect exposed brackets and fasteners as part of routine care. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the finished rail, carriers and operating parts. Ask us before applying cleaners or additional lubricant to the carrier channel.
