    Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as a solid stainless steel rod?

No. This decorative traversing product is a round-looking aluminum H-rail with a channel for moving carriers. For a 316 stainless steel ringed rod, choose our separate straight-rod family.

    How many brackets are required?

The manufacturer lists two supports up to 60 inches, three from 61 to 120 inches, four from 121 to 180 inches, and five from 181 to 240 inches. The final plan can require additional support because of wall structure, load, projection, splice or curves.

Can I use a ceiling or inside mount?

Yes, with the matching bracket. Wall-mounted systems use the projecting wall bracket; ceiling-mounted systems use the flush ceiling bracket. Every Traverse Rod is finished with its standard end cap.

    Which headings and openings work?

One-way and center-opening pinch pleat or compatible Ripplefold systems are available. Ripplefold requires connected carriers at the selected fullness and the appropriate master carrier. The butt master meets at center; an overlap master provides panel overlap.

Can the round traverse rod be curved?

Some systems can be bent or continuously curved, subject to the manufacturer’s limits. Provide an exact template for a review; curved configurations are not priced automatically.

    What happens above 96 inches?

Standard parcel shipment is limited to sections no longer than 96 inches. A longer design needs a suitable connector and support at the joint; a continuous long length requires a separately quoted road shipment.

What does the 4 lb/ft capacity mean?

It is a manufacturer maximum of four pounds of distributed drapery weight per foot, depending on the application. Brackets, anchors, substrate, curves, and use can lower the safe load. Confirm the complete installation for heavy draperies.

Is this Traverse Rod suitable for a coastal home?

The corrosion-resistant aluminum rail is an option for coastal interiors and humid rooms. Tell us about salt-air exposure and whether the installation is indoors or sheltered outdoors so we can review the finish, brackets, fasteners and complete system.

Does rust-proof mean no maintenance is needed?

Rust-proof describes the corrosion-resistant materials chosen for the system. Routine care still matters in salt air. Keep the rail free of dust, follow the manufacturer’s finish and operating-component care instructions, and inspect exposed brackets and fasteners.

How do I get a complete Traverse Rod price?

Choose your configuration above and request a Design Consultation. Send your measurements, location and a photograph of the opening. We confirm the finish, carrier arrangement, supports, installation details and shipping for your personal quote.
